From managing emergency evacuations to helping companies find the right talent, meet Mike, now a Mid-Market Account Executive at Indeed. Before joining us, his military career as a combat medic spanned training and improving NATO force operational procedures in Germany, managing a medical treatment facility in Liberia, and earning the Expert Field Medical Badge. “Giving an IV to someone under high-pressure situations doesn’t translate directly to this role,” Mike says, “but getting creative to achieve the desired result does…something that was commonplace in military field environments.” Now Mike’s bringing that same creativity, attention to detail, and “never quit” attitude to helping employers find the right talent solutions. The skills he developed under pressure—accountability, commitment to exceeding standards, dedication to grind through tough challenges—translate to consultative sales and hitting goals. What stood out most to Mike during his interview process? “I felt like I could be upfront and let my talent speak for itself. Indeed cares about more than what’s on a piece of paper.” Mike’s advice to all military job seekers: Don’t be afraid to show who you are. Your skills, leadership, and commitment matter. This Veterans Day, we’re proud to have earned the Military Ready Hiring Badge—and even prouder to welcome team members like Mike who bring exceptional skills, leadership, and dedication to Indeed every day.
We're proud to earn the Military Ready badge.
