🌟 An accomplishment worth celebrating! 🌟 We have been recognized as a Best Organization for Women in India by the Economic Times for the second consecutive year. From intentional programming to mentorship opportunities, we are committed to ensuring that our 'PTC for All' core value is at the forefront of our efforts. Here's to the win, here's to our Creators, here's to #BeingPowHERful.
With the start of #BlackHistoryMonth, in the words of John Lewis, let’s “get into good trouble together and be the change we know is possible.” Our Black Employee (BE) Employee Resource Group (ERG) has composed several events over the next few months for the PTC community to engage in celebration, solidarity, learning, and allyship. This week, we held an employee panel featuring Tanyelle Mims, Angela Sly, and Marcus Williams on what they do to make Black History Month meaningful to them and their families & friends. Up next are workshops focused on investigating privileges, Black culture trivia, and so much more. The BE ERG has also organized a giving opportunity to support future Black talent in STEM and organizations dedicated to education, awareness, and justice. In his 13 years as PTC's CEO, Jim Heppelmann transformed the company’s technology portfolio, culture, and prospects for the future. This blog encapsulates his career highlights. Best wishes for a wonderful (and well-deserved) retirement!
The PTC team in Seoul, South Korea demonstrated next level hospitality during a recent visit by our CEO Jim Heppelmann, CEO-elect Neil Barua, and VP of Corporate Communications, Greg Payne. From customer visits to strategy meetings, this trip was one for the books. To echo Neil's sentiments, "Software is eating the world and PTC is here to help!"
Results are in, word is out. We’ve been recognized as #3 on the Boston Globe Media Top Place to Work in the large company category. Our teams of Creators keep exceeding expectations, and we couldn’t be prouder of the work they do or the passion they bring-here in Boston and beyond. Congrats to our fellow honorees. Let’s do it again next year.
Today is #GivingTuesday! As we gear up for PTC’s annual Week of Caring – an important part of our culture since 2010 – follow along as we spotlight employees across the business that are making a positive impact in their communities through giving and volunteering! First up, meet Tonia and Wazir from PTC Canada who work together to organize an annual volunteer activity to provide free lunches and winter gear to kids in need. Learn more about this #WeekOfCaring initiative on our blog: https://lnkd.in/dtASW8nk #LifeAtPTC #PTCforGood
Members of our team are heading to this year’s Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers National Convention. They were asked what they were most looking forward to and the response was unanimous, sharing #LifeatPTC and their HOLA Employee Resource Group experience with fellow attendees. If you’ll be joining them in Salt Lake City, be sure to connect. They’ll be participating in the programming and welcoming this year’s 10K+ attendees to our booth during the Career Fair & Graduate Fair Expo.
We recently sponsored the Thurgood Marshall College Fund Annual Leadership Institute in Washington, D.C. to help support and network with college students from HBCUs across the country. Thank you to the students who attended PTC’s two sessions: Balancing Profit & Purpose with Ashley Pruitt & Joshua Bellis and Environmental Sustainability with Marcus Williams. If you happened to catch one or both presentations, what were some of your takeaways? We’d love to know more about your experience. And to those who stopped by our Recruitment Fair table to learn about potential internships & rotational programs, we hope you’ll consider joining our Talent Community! It’s the best way to keep up with what’s going down at #lifeatPTC. We’re already looking forward to next year!
Nine years ago, Alisa joined Arena, a #PTC business, as a Project Coordinator. Despite not knowing much about engineering then, she has since leveraged her ‘Power to Create’ to support customers and oversee projects using our cutting-edge technology. Recently, Alisa ventured beyond her day-to-day job responsibilities to contribute to our #Vuforia Augmented Reality team’s effort to transition into a heavily regulated industry. In addition to her passion for innovation and commitment to collaboration, Alisa’s willingness to apply her expertise where it is needed most has earned her a place among this year’s Change Makers.
We’re looking forward to the NAAAP (National Association of Asian American Professionals) Leadership Convention August 23–August 26 right here in Boston. We’ll be hearing from Social Justice Activist George Takei, proud Mayor Michelle Wu, Bing Chen, Hao Tran, Julie Chen, and others who share a deeply rooted passion for elevating tomorrow’s leaders by confronting the challenges of today, head on. We hope you’ll join us and our fellow sponsors as we lean into workshops and networking opportunities.
