Anyone left consulting to buy a business? I need advise on how you went about it.

KPMG recently hit me with the PIP or Career Transition option and I chose the latter. Gave me 90 days to search for a new role and I still get paid out my salary until my separation date. Something told me a few months ago to start looking for an exit. The same week as the HR call, I was already interviewing in the final round. Received the offer last week. Just left Capital One after the bulk of my time in Corp Strat, former AP at MBB. Great money, terrible experience. I was a highly paid slide writer. They promised great roles in the business and a path up - completely false. There are few business roles available, and no Corp Strat hire since 2017 has made it past MVP in the lines of business. Tread with caution.
