How’s the Deloitte comp looking.?!
Just left Capital One after the bulk of my time in Corp Strat, former AP at MBB. Great money, terrible experience. I was a highly paid slide writer. They promised great roles in the business and a path up - completely false. There are few business roles available, and no Corp Strat hire since 2017 has made it past MVP in the lines of business. Tread with caution.
Have an offer to go to a series B startup with about 200 total employees. Base comp 275k vs 215k at D. Up for SM this year (second try). Have a strong network. Debating whether slow and steady is the way or if I should shoot my shot and take the risk of startup life. Anyone with experience making that jump? Married with two kids in elementary school if that matters.
What sites do people like to find job posting and roles to apply to? I use LinkedIn, is there something better?
Got laid off three times in 3 years. Feel like I’ve developed some PTSD which I think will impact my chances of getting hired again. Also mentally suffering. First group PE couldn’t find a deal; 2nd group was mix of political pressure and wrong heads at wrong places; 3rd place is fundraising issues. How do I explain all this to the next role? So far I had like 50+ interviews but no offer. There is something wrong with my GTM…how do I fix it
For those of you who may have excited later in your consulting career, Director/AP/SM levels, what were some of the reasons you left?
Pretty run of mill…some happy some pissed…a lot of talk…let’s see if ppl follow through! I hope they do…cause last time there was a mass exodus those that stayed behind got retention stuff
Same ratings as last year, got a 2.4% raise. 9% AIP
