We're thrilled to launch TSMC's "Eco Plus! Ecological Harmony Program" in partnership with Taiwan's Ministry of Agriculture and numerous other organizations to foster environmental sustainability. Through our program, we'll be promoting eco-friendly farming, building biodiversity corridors for habitat restoration, conserving endangered species, supporting ecological scholars and expanding environmental education.
Caring about our planet is top of mind. We recently implemented 2,435 high-efficiency transformers in 12 fabs as part of our green manufacturing initiative and in response to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 7. This allowed us to save 66 million kWh of electricity and reducing carbon emissions by 32,000 metric tons.
Innovation soars when skilled employees from diverse backgrounds have the opportunity to bring their ideas to the table. To foster a more inclusive work environment, we've launched a six-month "Accessible Workplace Experience Camp" involving occupational therapists in the recruitment and job redesign process to help integrate talent with disabilities into the workplace. So far, 166 participants have benefited from our program. Click to learn more.
