For Black History Month, Nike, a Senior Program Manager in our SIG Consulting group shares what this month means to her. “Growing up in a small town in Wisconsin, my family always heavily participated in the Black History Month Celebration put on by the African Heritage, Inc organization. This non-profit organization was founded by my parents and their friends to create community for individuals of African descent that reside in the area. Attendees of the celebration could enjoy amazing food, entertainment and educational content from Black contributors and vendors that were invited from all over the country. It made for an emotional but inspiring day that we looked forward to every year. Gatherers of all ages and backgrounds joined the event to see our small but mighty Black community celebrate in pride and harmony, while honoring the Black experiences of the past, the present, and those to come in the future." #SynopsysBHM2022
