🌍 On Earth Day 2025, the call to action is clear: unite for renewable energy and triple global clean electricity generation by 2030. Beyond our client work, we're proud to be driving this transition within our own operations: 🏢 Sustainable buildings: Our Green Lease framework ensures we select office spaces that are energy-efficient and sustainable to start. 🔋🌐 Operational energy efficiency: We are optimizing energy use across all our offices for example using LED lighting, enhanced HVAC systems, and digital controls. Our Energy Command Centre has reduced energy consumption in India by 29% compared to 2019, with plans to expand this impact globally. ☀️ Renewable electricity: We’ve made significant investments in on-site solar parks. In India, eight campuses now generate 15% of our electricity needs, with 32,290 panels across rooftops, walkways, and carports producing up to 11.7 MW at peak. Our Airoli solar park, Mumbai’s largest corporate solar facility, now includes battery storage to extend clean energy into the evening. In cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai, we also export surplus electricity to state grids. From this year, 100% of our grid electricity will come from renewable sources through on-site solar, PPAs, and energy certificates, in line with our RE100 commitment. 🎥 Watch the video or read a blog post from our sustainability expert Dr James Robey to learn more:
Since 2020, our Tech 4 Positive Futures challenge has inspired hundreds of colleagues globally to build a sustainable future for the planet and society – and it has also enabled them to positively impacting their own knowledge, skills and careers along the way. We caught up with the winners from our 2023 challenge to find out how it's helped in their career growth: 💡 Christopher was a member of the winning team that prototyped smart nets which reduce fishing by-catch. He gained more confidence and aligned his career goals with his passion for making devices that improve the world. 💡 Peter, who was also part of the smart nets team, learned a lot about micro-manufacturing and the importance of legal details. He now mentors a team in the current edition of the challenge. 💡 Hardik was a member of another winning team that built an app to encourage native wildflower planting among communities in urban England, enabling pollinators to thrive. The challenge upskilled Hardik as he helped the delivery team create the technical solution. He's since enjoyed working as a product owner on multiple projects.
