Led by Boston Celtics legend, Cedric Maxwell, some lucky Arbella employees got the chance to play like the pros on the famed TD Garden parquet!
We are so proud of all that the Arbella Insurance Foundation accomplished in 2019 with the help of Arbella's employees and independent agents. The Foundation donated more than $2.5 million to support 731 different charitable organizations throughout New England, continued to support anti-distracted driving programs, celebrated milestones with charitable partners and so much more.
At Arbella, it’s all about balance! We take a holistic approach to life because we know that our employees are so much more than their careers. We are thrilled to have a dedicated wellness team on-site that is able to provide free exercise classes, guided meditation, personal training, medical assistance, nutrition counseling and so much more.
We'd like to give a big shout out to these awesome employees who volunteered at Interfaith Social Services today, helping them re-stock the pantry while spreading holiday cheer!
Happy World Kindness Day! To celebrate, some of our employees visited Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to surprise patients and families with Care Cards and teddy bears. The Care Cards help patients pay for things like parking, wigs, gifts, and meals.
We're thrilled to share that 4 of Arbella's executives have been recognized in Boston Magazine's annual feature celebrating the most influential businesswomen in Boston. Gail Eagan, Lynellen Ramirez, Gayle O’Connell, and Janet Corcoran are the general counsel, chief actuary, chief marketing officer, and chief operating officer at Arbella. Women represent more than 40 percent of the senior leadership at our company, changing the face of this traditionally male-dominated industry. "We don’t see ourselves as women leaders, we see ourselves as leaders."
As a team building opportunity, the managers in our Operations department volunteered at the South Shore YMCA Hanover Family Farm. They had a great time together while pulling up tomato stakes and plants, hand weeding and cutting flowers. Thank you, volunteers!
Thank you to the Arbella and Bearingstar Insurance employees who came together to volunteer at Birthday Wishes, wrapping 457 gifts for local children!
"Do not listen to outdated stereotypes. This is not your grandfather's insurance industry." Lynellen Ramirez, Arbella's Chief Actuary and Senior Vice President Research Analytics, spoke to The Standard about the role of women in the insurance industry, how it's evolved over the years, and shared some advice for young women interested in entering the industry.
Arbella is consistently recognized by the Boston Business Journal as a best place to work. In a recent article, Ellen Mann, our AVP of Human Resources, talks about the importance of a diverse and inclusive work environment and how Arbella's culture reflects generational shifts.
