Pros

Fun group of people, nice office with plenty of parking, free snacks and coffee, casual dress option, interesting field with a lot of growth potential. fun events, lots of refrigerators,

Cons

During my tenure, I observed that the work environment in the HR department was characterized by toxicity and cliquish behavior. Unfortunately, the prevalence of gossip, lack of oversight, and disregard for individuals wellbeing, contributed to a challenging atmosphere. The management structure appeared to be poorly managed, and there was a noticeable absence of efforts to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture. The dynamics within the HR management team heavily influenced the way individuals interacted with each other, creating a highly dysfunctional work environment. One significant concern was the apparent reluctance to promote or support team members' professional development, especially the ones who worked the hardest. Despite the potential for growth and advancement for other departments and individuals, there seemed to be a lack of initiatives to help employees progress in their careers within the HR group. This aspect left many team members feeling undervalued and stagnant in their roles, resulting in leaving the company or further perpetuating the toxic work environment. If you get on the bad side of certain people, you will have a terrible time at RF-SMART. A notable observation was the presence of favoritism within the management ranks. This practice not only undermines the principles of fairness but also erodes trust among team members. A more transparent and merit-based approach would contribute to a healthier and more productive work environment. The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives at the company currently face notable challenges. The program, overseen by two individuals who lack substantial experience in the field and happen to be affluent white women, has been associated with concerns regarding its effectiveness. Furthermore, the engagement of a DEI consultant company with affiliations to a specific religious background raises questions about impartiality. It is imperative to address these issues to ensure that the DEI efforts align with best practices and demonstrate a genuine commitment to fostering inclusivity within the organization.

Pros

Nice Jacksonville Office, great co-workers - for the most part. There is some backstabbing as you see in a lot of office environments, but there are a couple of dominant personalities in the office that if you aren't part of the click, you are a nobody. Again, mostly good on the co-workers.

Cons

As I said, most people were great, but a couple of bad apples...Benefits were sub-standard when I compare to my new company. The other posts on GD seem really surface and pollyanna, so I felt like the real story needed to come out. I felt pressured to be dishonest about our technology. There were a number of times we made claims about our software that were misleading to our partners and customers and my conscious finally got the best of me. They claim to be a Christian run company but that didn't seem right. Also, I got tired of dealing with the aftermath of lots of upset customers who were oversold and under delivered.

Pros

They taught their family type culture with the ability to go into other positions. If you’re not fit for that particular position you’re currently in.

Cons

The company culture is not what it is. The insurance is not good, and managers lack the skill set to manage a team. Indeed there is a high turnover. The reviews given are when the employees start at the company, so the reviews are overinflated. Very manipulative sales tack tactics are used on clients. You’ll need to oversell clients in order to stay in this role. Clients you received from senior executives want to remove services which becomes a huge issue for your overall goal.
