Pros

Really good healthcare benefits for full time employees. Culture is EVERYWHERE, practiced and valued.

Cons

Fast paced working environment. If you are not willing to adapt and learn then Milwaukee will not be the right fit.

Great fast paced company

Pros

Milwaukee is growing extremely fast mostly through rapid innovation and launching of new products. It is a fast paced dynamic environment which is hard to find in most midwestern manufacturing companies. Feels more like working for a tech company on the west coast than a manufacturing company.

Cons

Fast paced aggressive culture is only a con if you don't like that kind of job; the trade off is that you can move around to get a lot of experience and if you work hard you will get promoted. Not a place to come work if you don't like to be challenged.

Pros

The company does knee jerk reactions to try and fix things so they don't mind spending large amounts of money blindly as an after effects to a crisis. Nice co workers.

Cons

Very insultingly low compensation for extremely demanding work. Degrading working situations. You get talked to for taking a short coffee brake while your male counterparts leave for 20 minutes at a time to smoke cigarettes in their cars repeatedly all day long. The no smoking rule is never enforced. The parking lot smells like an ashtray. Not uncommon to have to all day smell burning plastic from the test labs as products are failing because you are rushing them out too quick, you were lucky it wasn't in someone;s house or an apartment building. Had to run out again as the fore department came this week as a lab burnt down. Work hours become longer and employees are more disgruntled by the day. Twitter feeds are filter to remove angry customers. Caps put on tuition, vacation and raises so small they insult you all during record profit years. Completely tone deaf upper management who apparently cares less. Turn over so high you can't remember who is who anymore. Real feeling of disparity and hopelessness in the company as you know the harder you work gets you nowhere unless you are in the club. Cost of living is 6 times the raises so in a few years we'll be broke if we stay. Way too many managers and meetings. No wonder we get such small raises despite being the real workers. Burnout it inevitable, either that or a products battery charger going to burn out a house as products are rushed through and testing so far behind the labs can't keep up but instead they hire and promote more managers. Stop sending out emails asking us to wrote positive reviews about the company on here, that like putting a bandaid on a raging infection.
