      Great projects but low compensation

      Great challenging products and some smart people.

      Cons

      Low compensation - When answering a question on 7% inflation (CY22) and how KLA is keeping up with it, CEO responded those who work in KLA shouldn't be motivated by compensation. For those who do look for financial motivations should look for other companies. This slipped out 40 mins after saying contradicting statements that KLA is ensuring compensations are competitive. Age Diversity is a problem and often creates project/product hiccups. COVID overworked environment starting to take a toll and compensation is not enough for the extra amount of work put in. They are giving new hires higher base pay but the medium projection will equalize. Some employees who stays long term doesn't really care about company's success. Those who do leaves early due to better opportunities or KLA's inability to keep talent. This company has management problems and cannot be fixed if the head is behaving like that.

      There's always a lot of work to do, even if it is without purpose.

      Cons

      I reported sexual harassment and illegal working conditions to HR. Next thing you know I'm put on a 'performance improvement plan with no legitimate reasoning. One of the core values of KLA-Tencor is Honest Forthright and Consistent. I fail to see that in upper management and it seems like a huge joke to keep employees in line. KLA-Tencor hires mainly foreigners so they are desperate to keep their job to stay in the US and will do anything to make sure that happens, even if it means working 24/7. People are generally miserable.

      Pros

      Some challenging technical problems KLA-Tencor has are good for improving one's engineering career.

      Cons

      Be prepared, some of the managers are vampires, they will suck on the engineers who they manage, trick new employees to write patent applications . Some of the managers are the worst human types, some of them got promoted by making a mess bigger and bigger, with bigger and bigger lies.
