Pros

In 20+ years I've never run into anyone who wasn't engaged/interested in their job, and excited to tackle a problem or collaborate to improve a situation, it's just a great place to work.

Cons

I'm sure it's better than in other jobs, but noone loves top down beaurocracy, and ibm is so large, that big things like remote work, travel budget, pension management, feel very out of your control. In a sense it's a good thing, though, because advocacy and having a voice is big in the ibm culture, and big decisions affect lots of intelligent and vocal people, so you can always be sure they will speak up and say exactly what you were thinking.

There vision is questionable, management can be a bit old fashioned?
