Pros
Medical Benefits (The Only Solid Thing Left) ESOP If You're Retiring Soon Pay (Dependent on Position)
Cons
Rampant Illegal Treatment of Employees - Sexism, Discrimination, Public Battering, Veteran Discrimination, Rampant Safety Concerns Forget Work/Life Balance Here So Called ESOP is Non-Sustainable In the Long Term I have personally worked for this company for the better part of two decades and oh my have things changed. Family culture is "out" despite what our former leader Bill Long stressed for so many years and the excuse is "we're getting bigger". While we are, the cronies are here to stay within this company. Within the last few years corporate policies have shifted dramatically from a promote from within atmosphere to a get out of our way cutthroat mentality. The old brass that gave us a "family" and 15% year over year growth is all but long gone, only to be replaced by hacks from other decimated grocery chains. They have brought their failed practices with them and day by day I am witnessing the corruption of this company. For those of us still working here, what has your ESOP shown you the last few years? To add insult to injury, the hierarchical structure in place at headquarters has opened up the draconian practices within the trenches. On the distribution side where I am the most familiar it is almost unbearable to say the least. And the accounts I receive from other facilities (oddly especially ones closest to HQ) are enough to make your blood boil. I personally have witnessed video of a facility manager bragging to constituents about his numerous clearings of harassment cases. This same person was just promoted recently to another brand new facility. DK ring a bell? Anyways, if you value morals, family or life in general, save yourself and don't come here. If you represent the opposite then come on over, you'll be a supervisor in no time.
