Good pay and benefits
Easy to transfer locations if you move or to pick up extra shifts
Opportunities to progress at any employment/education level
Great local culture and talent
Cons
Corporate doesn’t really connect with the local clinics (can be a good thing too I suppose). When they do, it doesn’t seem genuine or like they know how individual hospitals operate or how the employees function on a day to day basis.

Thank you for the review and feedback! We recently made changes to our company communication, new initiatives process, and hospital visit guidelines. We hope you see a difference soon. Keep sharing the feedback so we can continue to improve our associate experience.
Small animal, exotics, free care to wildlife, opportunities to work with zoo animals. Internal promotions to change all management has made the work environment very positive. Boarding facilities. Opportunity for certifying for internal crematory.
Cons
Pay rate less than expected for experience level. Corporate in California has increased prices every year that is causing all of my friends and family to change vets. With our rural area and low average income, pets are getting euthanized instead of having testing and treatment. Staff should have more discounts for employee pets.
Great quality of medicine. Great doctors. Team members that genuinely care about each other. Management is very fair about approving time off requests.
Cons
Pay could definitely be better. Inconsistent scheduling. If you don't speak up, you'll get the short end of the stick when scheduled and they will burn you out. Not enough organized training, especially for new employees, even though they have meetings all the time.
