Pros

I’ve been very lucky to work in Guelph because there are still leaders there who truly care but I know that’s rare in this company. They bring in birthday cakes and sign happy birthday, ask you about your life, play games at lunch, celebrate peoples accomplishments, and make work feel human. The leaders who actually take the time to come to Guelph (very few) are great. Although don’t expect anyone above an L2 to be seen there unless someone gets terminated. I’ve also been going through a life transition this past year, and my leader and HR have gone above and beyond for me, even when I probably wasn’t the easiest employee to manage. I walked into HR with nothing more than a rant, but they got me time off to deal with personal issues and listened to my story with a compassionate smile and kindness. It still feel appreciative thinking about it.

Cons

The workload can be very heavy, and it often feels like sites outside of London are forgotten about. I do feel a recent shift in the culture. At times some of the high leaders come across as snobby.

Pros

-They have great befits and are extremely flexible. Great co-workers and people with lots of experience in the field. -Decent pay and benefits.

Cons

-Stepping stone for lots upper management, they will not last more than a 3 year average and they move on after they come and leave a mess for everyone else to clean up. Have seen quite a few come and go and they all come in with aggressive plans and move on to bigger positions with sister companies and leave us in limbo with a bigger mess in our hands. -Department Managers get hired with no previous management experience and have no idea what they are doing and DO NOT lead by example and just delegate their work to others and take credit for it. -No growth, you can work here and expect to be in the same position for years without any advancement opportunities. -Too many crazy ideas implemented with no real planning and they all seem to fail. -People with 20 + years of knowledge are leaving and they don't do anything to keep them or replace them with enough time for them to train someone new. -No real HR department in place.
