Pros

They provide decent gifts at meetings. They don’t belong to a CIA, yet.

Cons

The managers are clueless here. The sales personnel are more tenured than the managers. Managers are rejects from other companies. Some have a long history of HR violations from previous companies. This company does not own its own drugs. They contract with other companies to promote two drugs. Because of the contract with other companies, Lundbeck has no power and no say in any business decisions. Refer to the politics of the companies that own the drugs for decisions to be made. Lundbeck over hires and then has lay offs. Lay offs are coming again in the near future. The pay is low for specialty and they are going to a primary care mentality. There is no research and development team. Nothing is in the pipe line. Employees are trying to leave daily. I currently have 5 overlapping partners for each office I see. So you definitely have to love having that many partners and working out a good routing plan. The solid reps get zero recognition. Bonus is capped at 33k a year and no one ever hits it. They work on trimesters so you get fewer payouts throughout the year. There is no training department. The veteran reps know more than the trainers and the managers. This company is in trouble and it’s a toxic environment. They say it’s all about the patient but that is a lie. It’s all about cutting costs and bowing down to the companies that own the products.

Pros

LundBeck always puts patients first. The culture is one that truly honors each employee for their contributions. I have been with LundBeck for 11 years and have always had opportunity for growth and promotion. It’s a great place to work and everyday I feel proud to represent a product that is changing patients lives for the better.

Cons

The industry has changed a great deal in psychiatry and we’ve seen many providers move to virtual or working from home. This has made the access in psychiatry difficult. This however is not a con for working at LundBeck.
