Good opportunity to learn about the markets, trading hours, brokerage operations and client-facing investment services. The role can help build technical knowledge and exposure to real-time investor issues.
Cons
The environment can feel cold and discouraging. In my experience, support and management were not consistent, and feedback sometimes felt more focused on blame than development. It can feel political, reactive and difficult to raise concerns without worrying about consequences.
