For a company that intends to double or triple in size in the coming years, it's surprising how many systems and processes still hinge on knowledge of a single person or two. Sometimes that person is celebrated and valued. Other times that person is under-recognized for their contributions. Growing our people without growing our systems and processes (and standardizing across brands) won't get us where we intend to go.
I also hear colleagues talk about a lack of accountability in some field offices. Leadership is heading in the right direction, but it is likely that not all our current top-level leaders (who were/are excellent for a $500,000ish company) will be up to the task of running a multi-billion dollar operation.
