Great tech, poor management

Pros

Cutting edge technology, great engineers

Cons

(1) Not enough HR and HR has a serious attitude problem. HR doesn't pick up phone or reply email at the offer negotiation phase (2) Poor onboarding and training. It takes days for new hire to get the badge. After the first day "orientation", new hire still doesn't know how to write time card, how to request IT service. Team members are not willing to spend 1hr going over the project they are working on. If you are new, going to meetings and asking questions is the only way to learn the jargons and techniques. (3) Serious role clarity problem. Some people are super busy, while others have essentially nothing to do. Manager will ask senior engineer to do a technician's job, and to assign someone to do something that is not his/her job duty (4) too many meetings and engineers don't have enough time to solve real technical problems (5) people have to share cubicles because there is not enough working space

Pros

Very nice people and some helpful supervisors.

Cons

Abusive coworker. She screams and threatens to report me all the time. She takes photo of a misplaced item and display it to every group member to humiliate me. My boss is actually worst than her. He pretended to give me fake interview . He said he was not supposed in the interview for ethical reason. But later, he said he is supposed to be in the interview otherwise it is not an interview. Encouraged the coworker to bully me by telling me "maybe she had an reason to lose her temper." My trainer couldn't teach me thoroughly due to language barrier. My boss mocked me and refused to help me learn. He even forbid me to talk to anybody other than my two coworkers and himself. He even warned me that I must take break and lunch exactly at the same time with my coworkers. Which means, I couldn't go anywhere even outside. I had to stay with them exclusively all the time. He forced me to work with my coworker even though he knew I couldn't get along with her. I requested a transfer and he threatened me that he will report me to his boss. I finally got an interview and was waiting for the result and he ended my contract suddenly to prevent me from going to another department.
