What do you want to know about Metal Craft and our sister facility at Riverside that the words “the world’s most precise machining” don’t tell you? Well, you might want to know about our people and our passion—and the fact that if you have passion for machining and engineering, for service and excellence, for precision and innovation, you’re going to get along pretty well with our people. This passion was the personal philosophy of Jack Mowry—Captain Jack—our founder and CEO. Jack knew machining, he knew craftsmanship, and if someone said something couldn’t be done, he knew they were wrong. “It’s our job to figure out how to do the impossible— to get creative and to accomplish what others say can’t be done.” As if to prove that point, Jack was once told he would never be a machinist. Now, his legend lives on as the founder of not one but two manufacturing companies specializing in ultra-precision machining. He saw the future in people: In the doctor who had an idea to help his patients, to the large OEM who wanted to put surgical kits in every hospital to help every patient. He saw it in companies like Raytheon who develop technology that leads the way in aviation, mission assurance, space, radar and military operations. He saw it in the innovators and idea-makers. In the dreamers and the doers. Jack's passion for connecting with people, for doing what “can’t” be done, and for helping the people see that they can accomplish anything—this is what built Metal Craft and Riverside.
