Multiple options. I ran math simulation and found the cheapest option is most commonly the best option from an overall cost perspective. If nothing goes wrong you save money. If you do get sick, you pay more out of pocket up to you maximum and then it kicks in (high deductible plan). About 90% you are better off with this cheap option and using HSA. The other 10% of the time the cost is so close it doesn't make a big difference. This doesnt even account for tax advantages of the HSA, which you can only get with a high deductible plan.
