Prometheus was recently recognized on the NMHC Top 25 list for largest apartment developers in 2018, ranking nationally at 21. We are the only firm based in the Bay Area to make this list. Congratulations to all our hard working Prometheans on this incredible accomplishment!
The transformation of the Civic Center has been noted as one of the new projects, plans, and constructions that stood out this year. We're honored to support the Helen Diller Family Foundation and their important work.
Each year, the Helen Diller Family Foundation awards $36,000 to fifteen teens for exceptional leadership and engagement. We are proud to support the Foundation in recognizing these spectacular young people. In the words of a Promethean in attendance at the scholarship event, “I can tell you that I felt small in the company of these teens. Their audaciousness to dream big and pursue great change in the world was humbling.” Congratulations to these incredible young leaders already changing our world in a meaningful way.
There are few occasions that bring people from all over the world together for one unified celebration, and there are certainly none more colorful than PRIDE. Prometheus is proud to take part in Pride Month for the fourth consecutive year. Prometheus marches as an ally with our brothers and sisters of the PRIDE community. We are a place that wraps our arms around diversity and inclusion for all. A fellow Promethean shared that it is “emotionally overwhelming to celebrate who I am with my work family. I know this is a place where everyone has my back”. Creating spaces of acceptance from the Silicon Valley to the Silicon Forest embodies the true feelings of I AM HOME.
For the sixth consecutive year, Prometheus has been recognized as one of the Bay Area’s “Best Places to Work” in the “large companies” category by the San Francisco Business Times and Silicon Valley Business Journal. To be consistently recognized among a diverse group of impressive Bay Area business organizations and industries is a testament to everyone’s incredible work here.

We make learning look good! In the spirit of Simplicity, a Prometheus goal for 2017, the L&D team redesigned its online learning portal (GROW) to give a fresh and focused look to its rich catalog of learning content, containing popular courses like leadership and personal development. Speaking of fresh looks, our Prometheans who most utilized the new online learning portal were awarded their own personalized “GROW” jackets as a reward for taking their learning and development into their own hands. Congratulations to Prometheans like Ben Lei (our Neighbor Service Tech 3 at The Lakes) for championing his growth with us!
Our Sr. VP of Promethean Services, Terri Lynn Cardona, M.S., joined up with Carol Jenkins (Lago) from OutMatch HCM to present on stage at last week's national Recruiting Trends & Talent Tech Conference in West Palm Beach, Florida. Find out why Terri Lynn says "we are hiring better candidates, doing it faster, and keeping them longer, ensuring we have the right team in place to support our business".
Starting a new job is never easy. Your first few weeks can be a whirlwind of new faces, departments, forms, acronyms, and lingo. For example at Prometheus, someone might actually ask you this question in onboarding: “Did you review the RSVP CDE POP in Odyssey with your SOS Playbook Coach?” Um… what? That’s why at Prometheus we also make sure to take time during our HOME at Work (Orientation) to introduce you to a whole network of Prometheans that are here to provide you the support you need to thrive and even the translation to questions like that.
Do you want to work at Prometheus? Let us tell you the secret… just get to know a Promethean, because we are pretty sure that we can spot a fellow Promethean whenever we see one. In fact, Promethean referrals account for almost 50% of all of our new hires every year, but they make up less than 10% of our total applicant pool.
