Pros

Learn the foibles of a start up and manage your reaction to adversity. Not a great resume builder and pays lower scale in industry.

Cons

Do you enjoy the circus? Love a house of smoke and mirrors? How well would you do on a high wire? If these look scintillating, then this is the place for you! Acts include “The Revolving Door of Doom!” and the “Texas/New Jersey Cagefight!” Here you’ll be mystified with a ‘disappearing’ crew. Tantalized! by the wholesome living and life balance juggling act. Intrigued! when the best of the best present their final curtain call. Love a good Ringleader? How about a room full? Make your way through the “Labyrinthe de Moutons” to test your skills on who to please first and who is smarter! Further your education only to be misused and disparaged by the top-of-the-line! Come one, Come all to the sleaziest show on Earth! *My hat goes off to Mr. Chris T for turning the Member Services department around with his experience and positive attitude. He sees opportunity where others see a shot for validation and kudos. He would be a substantial asset in turning around the Client Services department. For recognition or not, there’s always room for improvements at this place and Chris is one to make those changes. Please be prepared that they offer a very engaging benefit package. While the bells and whistles distract you, lurking around the corner is smoke. And where there’s smoke, there’s fire. They are a twenty year old company working at a start up level because most of the managers bully their way to their positions without formal management training. The blind lead the blind and favoritism runs rampant. Instead of encouragement, you will often find disparaging remarks made at your expense and problems where there really aren’t any. The drama is endless within the team you will work with at the New Jersey office. Newest team members in client services will last on average 6 months before they see the forest for the trees. They claim to kick out the negative people, but they’re really kicking out the people who have their wits about them and can’t stand the bullying and belittling. Most of the clients have been rejected by competitors because of how difficult they are to work with and you’ll deal with impatient and deplorable brokers and HR admins. If you feel you’re ready for a good browbeating, by all means take a chance at the wheel if misfortune.

Thank you for your informative and entertaining feedback. It sounds like your experience was quite the fright! While we do love a good circus and having fun (who doesn’t love animals and a flying trapeze act?), we don’t clown around when it comes to helping millions of Americans pay for healthcare. We take what we do here very seriously and with an unwavering focus. Ameriflex is a fast-paced and innovative company led by some of the brightest minds in the industry. From our service teams, to our incredible sales folks, and to the many, many other people who make Ameriflex run day in and out, we share a unified passion for taking great care of each other and the clients and consumers we serve around the U.S. Do we have moments of tension and encounter disagreements from time to time? Of course – every healthy company should. The acts you mentioned, particularly, “The Revolving Door of Doom!” and the “Texas/New Jersey Cagefight!” are certainly not the norm around here – perhaps you have mistaken us with a competitor that shall not be named? Many of our senior employers have been with Ameriflex 5, 10 and even up to and beyond 15 years. We have also seen several employees leave and come back to Ameriflex (we call them boomerangs). Why do they come back? The people. We support each other, we invest in each other’s long term growth, and most importantly, we respect each other. If you come to Ameriflex with a great attitude, desire to grow, and hard work ethic, you’ll thrive. We’re incredibly proud of our track record of promoting employees within. Just ask the several Client Experience and Participant Services team members who were promoted to senior positions this year. No clowning around, we wish things could have ended on a better note. We wish you the best of luck.

Pros

The original owner brought a lot of comradery to the whole staff. He didn't treat us like a number, he got to know our names and would ask about our family. My co-workers were really great, and fun, genuinely good people. I was able to work from home 95% of the time. They would host quarterly events so that we could come in person to meet up.

Cons

Middle management was challenging at times. There is one particular person that is still there that if you didn't go with her flow, then you immediately had a target on your back, and would find the smallest things to stay on you until you quit or let you go. There is a potential for a bonus, with multiple financial tiers, but the metrics are like reaching the moon.
