Originally established as Medical Transportation Management (MTM) to manage non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT), we quickly recognized opportunities to expand our services. By collaborating with clients to develop customized transportation solutions, our leadership identified ways to enhance access to care. Today, we specialize in supportive services like NEMT, home and community-based service (HCBS) therapies, and mobile integrated health. Partnering with state and county governments, managed care organizations, health systems, and other programs, we serve disabled, underserved, and elderly populations. Using cutting-edge technology and a client-focused approach, our comprehensive solutions improve health outcomes, foster independence, and reduce healthcare costs.
Building on our expertise, we evolved our management model to offer a broader range of healthcare and transit solutions. As MTM Health, we provide innovative healthcare services that align incentives, control costs, and enhance member outcomes. Meanwhile, our affiliate MTM Transit delivers high-quality public transit services that improve passenger experiences and efficiency.
With a focus on thorough assessments, integrated care management, and responsible network oversight, MTM Health eliminates barriers, enhances community wellbeing, and empowers individuals to live with greater independence.

Connecting People to Purpose
For over 50 years, Dean Transportation has driven passengers across the state of Michigan with safety, compassion and comfort in mind at every turn. While we started as a family-owned business with passion for providing customized transportation solutions to students with special needs, we’ve evolved to become the premier transportation provider for school districts, intermediate school districts and public transit agencies throughout Michigan. Pairing modern business techniques with our core values, Dean has become one of the largest privately owned transportation companies in the country. No matter who you are or where you’re going, we’ll get you there.
MTM’s transit services offer viable solutions that help public transit agencies connect the pieces of a community’s transportation options in an effort to increase fixed route utilization, reduce costs, and remove community barriers. From utilizing mobility management tools like assessments and travel training to promote public transit ridership, to fully managing the operation of fixed route and paratransit services, to overseeing quality assurance for multi-vendor transit systems, MTM can help solve even your toughest transit challenges. We remain committed to providing quality transit services to individuals who, without reliable transportation, may be unable to take advantage of employment opportunities, get to the doctor, and access other community resources.
